I picked up this guy from a reseller in Hong Kong, I think off ebay. It's a pirated plastic kit based off a b-club resin original. I haven't found the original.

This looks wonderful, as always with your builds! Reading your build progress, I feel your pain with Alclad Hot Metal Violet. I used it on the G-System 1/100 Qubeley Ple Custom, so I had to use a LOT of it! lol [link]

I ended up using almost 4 bottles of the hot metal red stuff for a HGUC Sazabi,I cannot imagine the amount for a 1/100 scale kit.... I don't think alclad designed the stuff to be used as a primary color :D

Hot Metal is supposed to be used in the literal sense-- as in you're reproducing the effect of metal that has changed color due to getting hot (like the colors you see on hot exhaust on a race car). For red, you would want to use Alclad's actual Transparent Red, *not* Hot Metal Red. It has a much higher tint content because it's meant to be used as a primary (as opposed to a shade like Hot Metal). [link]

Their transparent line includes Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, and Black/ Smoke. But no violet. lol So yeah, if you want purple, you're stuck with a million coats of Hot Metal (I used a few bottles on the Qubeley).
